US Senate to investigate torture under Bush Admin.

Wednesday, February 25, 2009

After Obama has put the ax on Guantanamo Bay, it appears that the Senate will quietly (not sure how now) investigate torture allegations against the George W. Bush Administration. One Senator says "This is going to be big."

I'm honestly surprised that this is happening, more than ever the government can get away with just about anything they want to. It makes me wonder if politics will begin to finally crack down on a lot of the corruptive things that go on. I only hope that anyone who is responsible for the inhumane treatment of people will be punished to the full extent of the law.

Apparently, ever since Obama announced that he'll close Guantanamo, guards have stepped up the abuse of prisoners. There have been reports of guards dislocating prisoners' limbs, spraying pepper spray into closed cells, even putting pepper spray onto toilet paper. These people are sadists and they're getting in as much abuse as possible over their rage at Obama for calling them out. Torturers, sadists, abusive people never like to be called out in public.
